A remarkable example of a medieval house in the heart of the city
The 'Grant’Maison' built by Jacques Coeur, silversmith to King Charles VII, in the middle of the 15 century, is rare intact evidence of medieval civil architecture, laid out around an inner courtyard. The interior of the monument offers a succession of quite remarkable rooms, richly adorned with sculpted details.
